Dr Smarajit Roy

Dr Smarajit Roy, Ph.D (Brunel Univ-UK), M.Tech (Brunel Univ.-UK) I have 40 years management experience in big organisations and also served as chair of the Board of some of them. This top flight management experience is what I share with management and staff of companies in seminars and training sessions in the UK and around the world where I visit annually to deliver sessions. I am the Founder and Chairman of City Wastes Bio-energy Solutions Limited and am a visionary entrepreneur. I was an elected councillor at London Borough of Islington. I have over 40 years of industry experience in UK Steel and Automobile Industries including 20 years at Ford Motor Company Dagenham as a manager in the Power Train Operation division. I have published 2 books titled “ Toilets To Let “ ( ISBN : 978-1-60911-749-8 ) and “ Understanding Waste = Bioenergy “ ( ISBN : 978-1-4567-8354-9). I have published over 60 papers and make presentations at International seminars and universities. I was a VIP speaker at China Bioenergy Technology and Investment Summit which was held at Shenyang in 2011.

MY PASSION is starting and being involved with highly innovative new and renewable energy companies worldwide. In particular, solving strategic challenges for cutting-edge science, and finding efficient ways to monetize it, and make a difference in Environment, pollution, Climate Change and green technologies. I want to make this world little better than what it is now in any small way that I can. I have spent my career in start-up companies. 

A substantial portion of my career has been involved serving on boards, both of my own companies, and as an independent board member of unrelated companies. I have been immensely fortunate to serve with some of the leading companies such as Solar City Energy UK Ltd, Purizon Energy UK ltd, Vintec Technologies of Israel, Nu Energy Technologies and Environment Energy & Finance Corporation of USA, Camycent Solutions Ltd and Enfracom Solutions of UK, Unity Infra Transit Project Implementers of India. I am also director of two companies in Nigeria. In my Charitable and Trustee roles, I am a director and Trustee of eight UK registered charities. I am a Patron of a large Charity established in 1986.
